4:17 pm	nonbiri day~ in a stroke of boredom, i figured keeping myself occupied by updating my cobweb-filled journal would be at least fill my time with some sort of productivity. first off, lemme just say today i found myself with a perfectly nice sunday devoid of anything that has been keeping me occupied these past few weeks (months?); no assignments to rush for tmr, no photoshoots to help with, no yumchas or outings to join, no sleep time to regain. in other words, a perfect nonbiri (carefree) day :D ppl on my lj flist : what do you mean u've been busy? we've never saw anything on here! me : thats cos i was being lazy durhhh them : *facepalm* fret not, for my will to lj hath returned! (at least for today la :P) ill just talk about my architorture assignments for now. and there will be no ljcuts cos i know you all love me so 8D;;;; firstly, i had a group project with 3 other studiomates to build our take off a 1:1 scale 4m square kitchen for 2 students. we chose architecture students in the end, cos some other group yanked art students as their "clients" and lecturer liked their concept better pif :P here are 2 pictures of the finished product : for those wondering, the stack of boxes in the left picture are our racks cum fridge unit. the picture on the right features the sink & microwave unit hidden by the screen in the left pic. we made the mistake of forgetting to label what's what neither on the model nor on the presentation boards, but aside from that lecturer liked our concept XD with this project done, our lecturers started us on our next (and final) project for this semester : an 80m square Compact Retreat House for 4 ppl. it was a solo project, and our studio was divided into 2 groups for option of clients : 2 parents with 2 children between age 6-15, OR 4 yuppies consisting of 2 male and 2 females. what they would be doing there would be entirely up to us. the site for our project? bukit cerakah in shah alam, which meant a class trip there! (during puasa no less). the trip happened last monday, here are a few of the more nicer pictures of that place that i took (click on the picture for the fotobaldi album):   i've chosen to build a Cosplay Retreat at the site in the 2nd picture, with the lily pads as my design concept for floor plan layout and stuff. lecturer was, to say the least, VERY interested with the cosplay side of my project, and grilled me about it for half of my presentation time LOL. suffice to say i now have very big expectations to fill XD;;;; in non-architorture-yet-still-uni related news, my plan for using Cosplay as my subject for our first Public Speech assignment went well with the lecturer. ive got a feeling i will prolly be labeled as THE cosplay guy by my classmates after this if i havent been already hahaha. thankfully for the final Public Speech assignment lecturer has already OKed my "How Apple Changed the World" speech idea, so they could prolly have forgotten by then XD;;; i've also joined the uni drama club for my co-curriculum credits, and have been given the role of Teruna for the play we're gonna do for the course assessment :P hopefully i can pull it off, as it requires me to be lovey dovey with a girl, and i havent been able to do it the last 2 training sessions. on the flipside if i can pull this off going into UST mode for Zima during cf would prolly be ezcakes :3 that's all for my architortured life as of today. on the outings and photoshoots n stuff i figure you all will prolly find out from other sources soonish anyways, so why bother eh? till later! ^^)/ (3 Comments |Comment on this)

6:00 pm	etto... so. dont feel like talking much about life ahahaah... guess ill do a meme to start and see how it goes? *shrugs* here's the desktop meme that's been floating around XD rules: 1. The point is to see what you had on! as u can see, i has NO icons on my desktop XD (that blue square is a download manager that's always-on-top) i like my desktop to be pristine :3 just changed the wallpaper from that random hi-res 3d image to this one i ganked off MTG's website, featuring Jace Beleren who is my favorite planeswalker in the series ^^ i also like the "junction" theme in this artwork, i find it resounding quite loud with my state of mind nowadays. also finding the rusty border at the bottom gives my desktop a kinda steampunkish feel tehee. also... am i the only person who has his start bar thingy on the top instead of at teh bottom of the screen? // additz : forgot today was results day, and i was quite shocked at what i received : 5As (one of those being an A+ for a subject i thought i would just barely pass) 2Bs and 2Cs (one for the design class which i failed last sem, and one for a very brainbreak subject), with a GPA of 2.77 and a CGPA of 2.44, which is a good improvement imo compared to last sem's 2.00 hehe. so yeah, glee 8D (2 Comments |Comment on this)

Last Sunday I invaded Iraq, broke it, and couldn't glue it back together before Mom got home (-1012 points). Last Wednesday I pulled maxsterism's hair (-5 points). In May I gave quinnquinna wet willie, then I took it back (-5 points). Overall, I've been naughty (-1044 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich! Tag 3-5 people at the end ---------- ( Shiritaaaaai~? ) ---------- //edits// in other news, the final week of this semester is coming, and that means the final stretch for my final projects (not to mention studying for other subjects D:) for the nature design project, i decided to make a japanese tea house-influenced nature retreat in a bamboo grove in pahang. with it being a tea house, we can actually experience nature with all 5 senses; sight (see bamboo trees) sound (hear the nearby stream) touch (feel the wind) smell & taste (tea!). we were also asked to make up one client for this, and i just randomly chose kemuridono hahaha. put one pic of kemoo as human scale once model is finished y/y? >D for my design drawing (different) class, we were asked to make a presentation "board" of Lessons from Melaka, and i went with the theme Think Outside the Box. ill be making a 400mm3 cube with random boxes jutting outside all 4 sides of it with information i gathered from melaka that to me relates to out-of-the-box thinking. lecturer had an idea of printing out backgrounds for the box with just typography of my theme, which sounds cool, but isnt doable for me cos i has no photoshop and my comp might not handle it. so i got a request for u ppl on my flist: can anyone make a simple 400x400mm white background image with the typography "THE BOX, THINK OUTSIDE IT" or something similiar (caps to taste) with faded colors relating to melaka (grey or the melaka maroon?) this image will wallpaper 5 sides (including top) of the box, and ill be writing / sketching stuff on tracing paper and pasting it on this background, so it shouldnt be too menonjol. domo yoroshiku onegaishimasu m(_ _)m (11 Comments |Comment on this)

You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that. 4.Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well. been using this combination of desktop + firefox + explorer theme, wallpaper, icons and rainlendar for ages. and i still havent gotten bored with it yet XDXD there's just something about the circles and the flat color combination that just appeals to me for some weird reason XD oh and just like fenix im tagging everyone who wants to do it :3 oh and short life update (lets do the dusty shall we) :  ren surpraiz return to malaysia! jom karaok-eh wait he's gone. yaro >.> thanks for all who came to my open house, it was a blast. havent seen that many ppl i care about under one roof since the olden days XD saph's bday party was fun, the way kaz called the waiter 3 TIMES just to get them to come over was priceless (saph's reaction when they did come was priceless-er tho XDXD) looking forward to the trinity bday bash later today. totally bringing the camera to get the hijinx on tape XD 2more weeks to FINALSSSS. and a mini-survery! design final project is to make a design of a 2.4m x 2.4m x 2.4m "habitable space" for: one one person, living there for 7days, doing something that must be done in nature (like birdwatching) and the actions that can be done in the space are restricted to only 3 (watching, reading, sleeping toka) anyone with any ideas on what sort of nature-activity thats unique but also interesting? i've a feeling the usual stargazing, birdwatching, fishing will be done to death by other coursemates >< any help is ♥♥♥ (9 Comments |Comment on this)
